Abstract:
Recently, charge and discharge schedules of PV batteries are discussed based on the prediction of solar irradiance, and the updating methods of operation schedules along weather changes have been reported. Those methods motivate an operation problem to retain the trackablility of the secondary reference even when the primary schedule is ongoing. This paper addresses the periodic operation of PV battery systems subject to the reference switching, and designs a periodic MPC (model predictive control) to track primary and secondary references with guaranteed feasibility. The proposed switching MPC design also incorporates the constraint tightening technique, by which the prediction errors are tolerated keeping the operational limits.
