Abstract:

Nowadays there are several models of evaluation and classification of smart cities. In this paper we present a comparative study between three models: Ruddolf Giffenjer European ranking of medium-size smart cities, Mapping Smart cities in the European Union and BOYD COHEN. Consequently we are going to suggest the most adapted model for Moroccan smart cities To make this comparison possible we took into consideration several points like goals and origin of initiative studies, types and geographic characteristics of cites, data sources, mathematical methods used to standardize and quantify indicators and finally different characteristics of smart cities.
