Abstract:
When the node aircraft of AWSN (Aerial Wireless Sensor Networks) patrols around, the topology of the network changes in real time, and individual sensor node may fly away from their home clusters to cause communication failures. To ensure smooth network communication, this paper proposes an improved LEACH-M protocol for Aerial sensor networks. Under comparison with the traditional LEACH protocol, the protocol is improved based on the existing LEACH-M protocol and MCR protocol. An efficient solution for outlier node is proposed to ensure that it can re-home quickly and efficiently. The experimental results show that, by contrast with the traditional LEACH-M protocol and MCR protocol, the improved LEACH-M protocol extends network lifetime, increases the efficiency of information transmission, and optimizes its performance.
