Abstract:

Software-Defined Networking (SDN) has been widely used in business networks because it has grown so quickly. SDN lets network administrators manage and set up network resources in a flexible and centralized way. But the security of SDN infrastructure is very important because it can be attacked in different ways. Man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks are the most common ways in which SDN infrastructure can be compromised. In this paper, we evaluate the network safety mechanisms in SDN infrastructure, talk about security solutions based on SDN, and then review the main security solution for all layers and interfaces of the SDN architecture. Finally, the paper also leaves open challenges and future research in this area. This study serves as a valuable resource for researchers and security professionals seeking to better understand the security risks and challenges in SDN and develop effective security solutions for SDN networks.
