Abstract:

The paper provides an approach for the application of transport protocol STP-ISS developed for SpaceWire communication networks to the SpaceFibre networks. Authors give a short overview of the transport protocol STP-ISS, and describe how it is used for SpaceWire on-board networks. Then the paper describes how to apply STP-ISS for the next generation of SpaceWire networks - SpaceFibre. The main task of the paper is to prove that STP-ISS may successfully operate over SpaceFibre network. In addition current paper provides the possible solutions for the SpaceFibre and STP-ISS joint use and describes what benefits a user can archive from this.
