Abstract:
This paper introduces a simple approach to develop a high performances control strategy of the DFIG-DC system using a nonlinear First-Order Sliding mode controllers to control the rotor currents in the DFIG-DC system, a diode rectifier is used to connect the stator side to the DC bus while the rotor side is connected to DC voltage through a PMW power converter. The goal of the proposed control strategy is to maintain constant the DC voltage and the stator frequency and improving the system performance by reducing harmonics currents caused by the diode rectifier. Finally, digital simulation and experimental results are presented to show the effectiveness and the performances of the proposed control strategy for the DFIG-DC configuration.
