Abstract:

This paper considers covert communication scenarios in satellite uplink. First we discuss the basic principles and key features of three typical non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) schemes, i.e., sparse code multiple access (SCMA), multi-user shared access (MUSA), pattern division multiple access (PDMA). Then the covert communication method combining random transmit power and energy detection is introduced. Finally, the simulation is taken to compare the covert performance of three schemes. Simulation results show that, in Rician fading channel, MUSA has the best performance of covertness. What's more, the bit error rate (BER) and the detection error probability (DEP) are mutually restricted.
