Abstract:
The plethora of the different access technologies and devices, as well as, the different QoS requirements of the available applications/services make the network selection decision process a very challenging task, especially in heterogeneous environments. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of combined multiple attribute decision making (MADM) algorithms, such as the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) method, the VIseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenjea (VIKOR) method, and the Total Order Preference by Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. The numerical results show that the combination of existing methods ensure the Always Best Connection (ABC) principle.
