Abstract:
As a result of this work, a comparative characteristic of random and deterministic methods of placing sensor network nodes in order to ensure the coverage of the service area was obtained. It has been proven that the deterministic method of node placement, provided that the nodes are placed accurately enough, provides greater efficiency. A method of organizing a wireless sensor network with deterministic placement of nodes for performing data collection operations has been developed. In further research, it is planned to investigate models of random placement of sensor nodes that provide coverage of a given area with a large number of nodes and methods of minimizing energy consumption in such networks.
