Abstract:

The paper highlights the importance of recognizing the uniqueness of each student in terms of physical and mental characteristics, emotions, interests, and learning styles. It emphasizes the significance of inclusive education and the challenges it faces in fully integrating students with diverse needs into the educational process. The research aims to evaluate the successful inclusion of students with different needs in a primary school, identify problems, and propose effective strategies for improvement. Three key research questions focus on the school environment’s inclusivity, the equality of opportunities in educational activities and resources, and how to meet each student’s needs for their development and maintain their physical and emotional safety. The research methodology includes literature analysis, surveys, focus groups, observations, and data analysis. Findings from the assessment of the school environment reveal accessibility issues for students with disabilities, while observations of the learning process show varied teaching methods but occasional difficulties for students with special needs. Conclusions stress the need for an inclusive school environment and tailored educational processes to support all students in their development and maintaining their safety. The abstract also mentions the implementation of an intervention plan, including adapting the school environment and providing teacher training through webinars. The intervention resulted in increased interest, motivation, and involvement of students with special needs.
