Abstract:
We propose a generic semiautomatic language-independent framework for annotating content using ontologies as the controlled vocabulary for annotations and conceptual graphs (J.F. Sowa, 2000) as the annotation language. We build on our experiments with story abstracts expressed as conceptual graphs, which proved applicability of conceptual graphs as a language suitable for capturing semantics of narratives. We formulate basic requirements for well formed semantic annotations and we show how the proposed methodology satisfy them.
