Abstract:

In this note, we propose a communication scheduling algorithm for wireless network control systems by utilizing the idea of the compressed sensing technique. The proposed scheduling algorithm aims at reducing the data traffic in a networked control system, at the price of a (typically, acceptable) control performance deterioration. To this end, we combine it with the event-triggered qualification mechanism. The latter serves as a sparsification procedure. The idea is demonstrated in the case-study of consensus problem.
