Abstract:
Starting from the design phase of a system to its daily use, the reliability of the equipment is the most important feature of the assembly. One of the methods of defect analysis is Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). This method consists of constructing a logical schema of failure of the components of the analyzed system. In this paper we will present the analysis carried out using the FTA, at Renault - central Titu, for an artificial cold plant, a plant that serves a solar radiation simulation bench at different temperatures. This analysis was carried out after a major fault in the refrigeration plant (burning the electric motor from one of the compressors) in March 2016. The analysis was performed to define the probability of recurrence of the fault with the purpose of modifying the preventive maintenance plan and internal standardization of the verification and prevention procedure for both the facility and other similar installations.
