Abstract:

This paper presents some classical examples of audio effects implemented on a Field Programable Gate Array (FPGA). Combining the digital signal processing (DSP) techniques with the very high-speed hardware description language (VHDL) capabilities, efficient architectures from resources usage point of view are proposed. An Artix 7 chip from Xilinx is used, together with Xilinx Vivado Design Studio 2020.1. Promising results are obtained from the amount of the occupied hardware resources point of view.
