This article investigates the cloud computing models and their advantages and disadvantages, discussing the association between them and web-apps of healthcare monitoring systems. Also, we present the major integration mechanism of some already developed medical MATLAB modules such as an innovative ECG diagnosis algorithm within a healthcare monitoring system that has been developed using C# language and Visual studio environment. A comparative performance analysis based on call function durations and security aspects has also been introduced for both implementation approaches (with MS Azure and without it), emphasizing the advantages of cloud SaaS (Software as a Service) technology.
