Abstract:
We propose a fractionally spaced adaptive equalizer (AEQ) using sets of FIR filter taps. Experimental results show that a 3T/4-spaced AEQ can effectively equalize the inter symbol interference of a 120-GBaud signal compared to the conventional T/2-spaced AEQ.
