Abstract:

We propose a space-time compression technique based on subspace tracking filter and adaptive quantizer for fronthaul uplink targeting 5G massive MIMO scenarios. Experimental results of 256-antenna fronthaul show that 32 UE with 1024QAM can be supported by 10GBd optical PAM4.
