Abstract:

We demonstrate the use of 1-bit delta-sigma modulation for digital generation and transmission while performing an analog mm-wave generation using optical heterodyning. After 20 km fiber transmission, EVMs of ~3.7% are measured for 100 Mbaud 16, 64, and 256QAM signals.
