Abstract:
A polarization-dependent-loss compensation scheme was experimentally demonstrated in a multi-stage system with distributed ASE noise. The effect of frequency dependency of polarization-dependent-loss could be ignored even the polarization-mode-dispersion was 10ps. The experimental results showed 2dB Q improvement by single processing.
