Abstract:
We developed a narrow-linewidth electro-optically tunable laser that has a single active region that covers 35-nm bandwidth without slow-speed cavity gain switching. We achieved highspeed and burst-tolerant eight-channel wavelength switching that covers >30-nm bandwidth. Furthermore, practical optical switching for 100-Gbps coherent signals was successfully demonstrated.
