Abstract:

The Autonomous Campus Transport (ACTor) project is a new research-focused project that aims to provide LTU students hands-on experience working with an autonomous vehicle. The project has two primary goals. First, to provide a platform which student research projects can built upon, and second, to be used for transportation of students and visitors to and from various buildings on campus. Aside from the drive-by-wire system, all vehicle software and hardware has been written and installed exclusively by university students. This paper describes the hardware and software frameworks used to implement various autonomous and safety features of the vehicle.
