Abstract:
In this paper, we investigate the impact of an arbitrary number of Rayleigh faded co-channel interferers with arbitrary powers on the performance of dual-hop transmission systems that employ amplify-and-forward relays. The received signals at the relay and destination undergo independent but not necessarily identical Nakagami-m fading. Analytical expressions for the exact and asymptotic outage probability and the average bit error probability of various digital modulation schemes are derived. The analysis quantifies the impact of channel parameters for the desired and interfering links on the performance of interference-limited dual-hop relaying systems. Various numerically evaluated and computer simulation results are presented to corroborate the proposed analysis.
