Spatial filter banks are proposed in this study. Technical solution with a Luneburg dielectric lens antenna is proposed, and the antenna theory parameters are presented. Three-dimensional Matlab® simulation of a 37-beam spatial filter banks that cover the whole azimuth half-plane is carried out. The applicability of the spatial filter banks for fifth-generation communication systems is discussed.
