Abstract:

The aim of this paper is the realization of the wireless weather station without any moving parts. The main goal is the measurement of the wind speed and direction using sophisticated methods based on ultrasonic anemometer. Using ESP32 development board and sensors, weather station can measure temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity, direction and wind speed. Collected data are transmitted to the WEB server using wireless communication and displayed on the WEB application. Numerous tests were made and it was concluded that the ultrasonic anemometer can obtain decent measurement results, with a small deviation from the measurement of the reference device. The main advantages of this measuring system are wireless communication, mobility, small dimension and the fact that it does not require regular maintenance.
