Abstract:
The expansion of the application of remote laboratories, along with the shift from eLearning 2.0 towards eLearning 3.0, have raised many implementation issues and demanded several considerations in their architectural design, which has long been a missing topic in the literature. In response to these needs, we realize a literature review on the common encountered hardware and software implementation issues nowadays, in order to provide a generic model for developing and implementing modern remote laboratories suited for a wide spectrum of application categories, as well as, for next generation educational systems.
