Abstract:

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have been listed as one of the most influential technology in the 21st century. “Indoor Emergency-escape-guide System (IEEGS)” is an application system based on WSNs for fire monitoring and escapes guiding. Nodes' positions have significant meaning to IEEGS. We proposed a new localization algorithm for IEEGS which is based on DV-Hop and named as ADBSA DV-Hop. We used several ideas including semi-auto average size of per hop obtaining, area division, and sticking to border in ADBSA DV-Hop. Compared ADBSA DV-Hop with DV-Hop through simulation, the results we got indicated that ADBSA DV-Hop performed better than DV-Hop, and competently met the localization requirements of IEEGS.
