Abstract:
The development and implementation of renewable energy systems is an important issue to be considered as they are considered to be the key solution for mitigating climate change and environmental pollution. The process of evaluating the sustainable performance of renewable energy systems is, however, difficult because of various decision makers, the diverse characteristic of the selection process and the presence of vagueness and fuzziness in the selection mechanism. In order to successfully address these shortcomings, this research paper provides a multicriteria group decision making approach for evaluating the sustainable performance of renewable energy systems. To judge the level of renewable energy systems performance, interval-valued based intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are chosen. An effective algorithm centered on positive and negative ideal solutions concept is applied for generating the overall performance index of renewable energy system choices. A descriptive case is included for demonstrating the value of the proposed method.
