Abstract:

With the concept of smart power distribution and consumption permeates, the characteristics of traffic in terminal communication access network have become increasingly complicated. Therefore, the research on traffic model which can accurately portray traffic characteristics means a lot to network parameters design and performance analysis. An efficient traffic model should be able to capture the most important features of the network traffic flows. And for the sake of this reason, this paper presents an analytical study of the traffic in communication access network and proposes an Energy Correction Wavelet Model (ECWM). This model corrects the coefficients by wavelet energy distribution, which could match both the long range dependence and bursty traffic. The simulation result confirms that the proposed model can not only capture the distribution probability faithfully but also depict the self-similarity and multi-fractal characteristics of the traffic.
