Abstract:
Relay enabled high speed wireless access, based on the IEEE 802.16j standard, is emerging as an attractive technology to realize the next generation broadband wireless metropolitan area networks. However, the link schedule associated with the traffic transmission, which has not specified and remained as an unsolved issue in such networks. In this respect, we construct a high efficient link schedule scheme to optimize the link scheduling efficiency and bandwidth resource utilization. Specifically we first propose a novel scheme to exploit and gain the optimized link transmission rate. Then we propose an efficient traffic schedule scheme to fully use the link transmission bandwidth subject to the user's performance requirements. Moreover we also propose a spatial reuse mechanism to exploit the concurrent link transmissions as well. Experiment results validate the superiority of proposed link schedule schemes.
