Abstract:

In this paper, a novel self-adapting image permutation scheme based on RGB rotation and cycle shift (RrCS) is proposed. Firstly, three pseudo-random sequences are generated from the tent chaos map, in which the initial values are obtained in the accordance of the original RGB image features. Moreover, each value of the three sequences is transformed to control the degree of each rotation and cycle-shift. Specifically, each pixelplane of RGB image is processed in parallel and in meantime interacted with each other. Finally, some images are taken as the experimental examples to verify the performance and security of RrCS algorithm. The experimental results and various test analysis demonstrate that the proposed RrCS has a fast permutation speed and a high security, thus it can be used for RGB image encryption.
