Abstract:

Address autoconfiguration protocols is one of the fundamental issues in mobile ad hoc networks (MANET). Aiming at the problem that NS2 (Network Simulator 2) can not simulate address autoconfiguration protocols, this paper proposes to embed the generic address assignment agent in the NS platform to realize the dynamic generation and change of address of the node. In this scheme, the simulation of PACMAN (Passive Auto-Configuration Mobile Network) protocol is implemented concretely, and it is proved that the scheme is feasible.
