Abstract:

The Kalman-based layered relay-and-antenna selection (LRAS) is proposed for the amplify-and-forward (AF) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) two-way relay networks under the temporally/spatially correlated MIMO channels. The Kalman-based recursive scheme plays an important role on the time-varying (t.v.) channel estimation based on the minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion in order to select the best relay and the subset of transmit-and-receive (Tx/Rx) antennas. Simulation results demonstrate the superior bit-error-rate (BER) of the Kalman-based LRAS technique for the AF-MIMO two-way multi-relay networks.
