Abstract:

Dementia becomes more common as people live longer. The Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) is commonly used in medical to screen for dementia. MMSE has advantages that require no specialized equipment or training to use. It has both validity and reliability for diagnosis and longitudinal assessment of cognitive ability. However it still can't be conveniently used at home. Therefore, we have developed an electronic version of MMSE that can be used at home to assess cognitive ability and perform early detection.
