Abstract:
Recently, digital signage in food markets has often played food-related sounds with videos. These sounds have the purpose of making food products more delicious and improving the purchase rate as a result. However, it is unclear whether these sounds contribute to the advertising effects. In particular, it should be confirmed how these sounds are effective for elderly people. In this study, the results of comparing the impression between young and elderly people when they hear some food-related sounds are reported and the acoustic factors that give the impression of deliciousness are discussed.
