Abstract:
In recent years, many researchers have been conducting studies on applying electrostatic clutch actuators to force feedback devices for Virtual Reality (VR) and reproducing more realistic haptic feedback by controlling the driving voltage. This study verified the output variation of an electrostatic clutch actuator with different driving frequencies and confirmed the existence of the frequency that produces maximum output. Based on these results, we have developed a drive circuit for wearable electrostatic actuators with a low current and high voltage output that is conscious of consumers.
