Abstract:
This paper proposes a myoelectric prosthetic hand control training system which can provide appropriate muscle contraction instructions. The proposed system can provide instructions for each muscle contraction to the trainee so that the difficult-to-classify motion patterns move to sparse spaces in the classification space using a virtual hand and objects for instructions. In the experiments, a series of a three-day training session using the proposed training system was conducted with three healthy males. The results showed the number of discriminable motions was gradually increasing as training sessions.
