Abstract:

Recently, the studies to identify the frustration while driving have been carried out, but the existence of the frustration in a certain period has been decided by subjective evaluation and facial expression, and the evaluation criteria has not been able to be unified. In this study, we propose a method to identify driving frustration from electrocardiogram (ECG) and photoplethysmography (PPG) based on electroencephalogram (EEG) asymmetry as an objective index. Then, the effectiveness of our method was evaluated through the frustration evoking experiment with a driving simulator.
