In this paper, the concept of random intuitionistic fuzzy sets is first introduced. Rough approximations of intuitionistic fuzzy sets in a random intuitionistic fuzzy approximation space is then defined and their properties are examined. Meanwhile, the notion of intuitionistic fuzzy probability measures is proposed. Several kinds of intuitionistic fuzzy probability measures induced by random intuitionistic fuzzy upper and lower approximation operators are also presented.
