Abstract:

Autonomic provisioning is a technique for dynamic optimization of IT systems by continuously monitoring and automatically reconfiguring the target IT systems. In this paper, we propose a Self-Controlling Cache to speed up the autonomic provisioning. Self-Controlling Cache is a mechanism to cache the information of systems and keep the cache optimal for every state of the autonomic provisioning. From the results of the performance evaluation, we concluded that our approach speeded up the provisioning by 70%.
