Abstract:
Bitstream protocol reversing has broad applications in the areas of information security and network confrontation. This paper proposes a framework for reversing bitstream protocols. Firstly, an improved correlation operation is proposed to search for synchronization sequences based on the periodicity of the TDMA signal. Then, channel encode parameters are identified through statistical analysis of code block features. Finally scramble parameters are identified through exploiting the imbalance in source distribution probabilities. To validate the proposed framework, DVB-RCS protocol is chosen for reversing, and the structure of data frames is analyzed and the information is successfully recovered. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed framework can effectively accomplish reversing of TDMA bitstream protocols.
