Abstract:

Indoor Hotspot scenario has been regarded as one of the important scenarios for 5G deployment. In order to satisfy the 5G requirements, the deployment density of base station for low and high frequency bands could be different in the same indoor environment due to the large gap of path loss. Meanwhile, Line-of-sight (LOS) probability, as an important property in channel model, determines the proportion of the LOS and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) users in the simulation, which could be affected by the different base station deployment schemes. In this paper, we compare the LOS probability models in the existed standards. Furthermore, the impact of base station deployment on LOS probability in indoor scenario are analyzed by simulation. Five base station deployment cases are considered, which are 2-site, 3-site, 12-site, and 6-site in the central line and 6-site in two rows. It is found that the LOS probability of the sites in the central line is obviously different from that of the sites in two rows where as the number of site shows no significant effect on LOS probability.
