Abstract:
This empirical work discusses a development and design of portable electroencephalogram (EEG) as standalone device, which is suitable used in field of brain computer-interface (BCI). General system includes the electroencephalogram (EEG) amplifier with filters, and data acquisition as communications channel between human brains and machine. The platform is included a stimulator controller and two foremost part that treatment with gathering data online as well as offline to analysis. The main goal of this design is creating a standalone portable device which is compatible with brain computer-interface (BCI) and independently extraction and analysis based on signal processing, in addition can be self-regulating by controlled or changed the visual of brain stimulus. Preliminary outcome results are dependent on empirical studies of close/open subject's eyes via exploring brain rhythms, also extract the alpha brainwave using external LEDs stimuli. The brainwave based on steady state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP) is evaluated in this study and indicate a comprehensive functionality with sturdiness of designed system. This design provides the eligibility to develop as portable of brain interactive-device.
