Abstract:
As a standard operating procedure of the healthcare industry, medical professionals always consult patients' medical histories before diagnosing and giving medications to them. Several organizations or clinics have their own database of every patient that visits them but it is observed that these organizations exchange patient medical records with businesses for research without patient approval. This threatens patient privacy. Using a centralized system to store these data might alleviate the problem, but when privacy is a concern, there are limited solutions. Thus, today's medical community needs a system to organize medical information and allow patients to securely share data with healthcare providers. This paper aims to develop a blockchain technology-based system that can store medical records on a distributed network. Two-way authentication utilizing the RSA-Encryption technique will prevent medical practitioners from tampering with or selling patients' data without consent, this chain of records will be delivered to them after verification.
