Abstract:

In contemporary society, people have diverse travel modes. Finding a suitable travel method is crucial for urban residents, especially families with children. The pedelec is an excellent choice with its mobility, energy efficiency, portability, and affordability. This study aims to design a family-friendly micro-mobility environment, exemplified by pedelec. During the experiment, designers used generative AI to brainstorm on micro-mobility tools, collecting insights and ideas. We also reviewed the literature on pedelec, shared micro-mobility, and parent-child mobility to identify the expected features and functions of family-oriented micro-mobility tools. This approach enhances the freedom of family outings, fosters parent-child interaction, and strengthens emotional bonds.
