Abstract:
This paper presents microwave heating effects among different phantoms and the possibility of microwave ablation with a monolithic microwave heater. Microwave heating is performed on agar phantoms that mimic different cell tissues including muscle, blood, fat, skin and tumor. The experimental results show that the tumor-mimicking phantoms exhibit the highest heating rate among all the phantoms.
