Abstract:

A preferential voting system has its long history. The previous voting systems are based on different methods, such as Borda, IRV, Minimax, DEA and Game Theory, all of which have common serious drawbacks: the voting results may be into a cycle and the computation may be terminated, or the relative order between two candidates may be altered when the number of first to nth ranks obtained by other candidates. Although there may not have any variation in the number of first to nth ranks obtained by both candidates, the calculation is too complex. In this paper, a new improved AHP method based on data, which avoids the disadvantages of previous methods and combines the advantages of AHP, is proposed. Comparative experiments is illustrated to show that the proposal is effective and efficient.
