Abstract:

We proposed a new broadband laser chaos synchronization in a distant star-type network with multi-injection module (MIM). In this star-type laser network, there is one hub semiconductor laser linked with side semiconductor lasers through tens of kilometers of fiber. The chaos synchronization is realized experimentally, and results show that high-quality synchronization is achieved between arbitrary pair of side semiconductor lasers (SSLs) while the correlation between the hub semiconductor laser (HSL) and side semiconductor laser being as low as 0.2 with the help of unique MIM scheme. Compared with traditional single-injection module (SIM), the MIM is far more promising in long distance chaos communication systems and secure key distribution networks. Moreover, we also investigate the evolution of chaos synchronization under different injection power, frequency detuning and frequency mismatch.
