Abstract:

Aiming at the problem of insufficient accuracy of single sensor bearing only positioning for directional emitter signal, we propose an enhanced positioning method based on sensor network. Firstly, the source is roughly positioned according to the strong signal received by the reference sensor. Then, the reference sensor signal is distributed to the adjacent sensor, and the cross-correlation search is carried out to solve the time difference. Furthermore, the precise position of the emitter is estimated by using the multi-sensors time difference of arrival positioning method. Finally, our method is verified by simulation experiment. Simulation results show that our algorithm can effectively improve the positioning accuracy of emitter when the SNR of weak signal ranges from −20dB to 0dB.
