Abstract:

The focused area for researchers no wa day is to find the solution to Optimize energy of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The over whelming idea to find the maximum gain in energy is to utilize the concept of crossover distance. The main idea of this paper is to minimize the cross-over distance by using different modulation schemes like MPSK, MFSK and MQAM. After several experiments it was observed that by varying carrier frequency, fc' the cross-over distance decreases to some considerable value. A decrease in cross-over distance is also observed by varying the values of information bits N. The simulation results are obtained using MATLAB and up-to 7% energy gain in ECC coded data was observed using different results. The concept in this paper opens several ways for researchers to project the energy optimization in WSNs to a new dimension.
