Abstract:
This paper presents the programming of a development kit infrared (IR) sensor for the acquisition of thermographs and thermographic data for the diabetic foot. The sensor is characterized to measure skin temperature by the radiometric technic, through a characteristic equation that allows predicting temperature of each pixel which is obtained by each bolometer. The system is capable of creating 3 files: A thermogram jpeg image, a sensor reading array and a temperature matrix corresponding to the reading of the bolometers array; the last two in .txt format. To facilitate the manipulation of the system, it was designed and programmed a graphical unit interface (GUI) in C++ with Qt libraries. The data created by the system will be analyzed by an artificial intelligence to assist in the diagnosis and evolution of the diabetic foot. The system was designed in a Raspberry Pi 2 computer with an infrared sensor (IR) Lepton-Flir.
